Dec. 19, 2009 - JMS and I-80 Speedway Join Forces

Beginning in 2010 both tracks will be fully NASCAR sanctioned tracks with the same divisions. This will allow drivers in the State of Nebraska to work for National Points Standings as well as State Point Standings for NASCAR Whelen points. The premier division for both tracks will be the NASCAR Late Models. The other divisions they will share together is NASCAR B-Modifieds (2nd Division), as well as NASCAR Pro-Ams (I-80) along with Stock Cars (JMS) (3rd Division). Finally, the Sport Compact Division (I-80) will be in conjunction with the JMS NASCAR 4-Cylinders (4th Division).

These NASCAR sanctioned tracks are working together to provide consistent rules between each division rather than distinct differences. Rules will also include IMCA like rules so that cars racing at IMCA tracks will qualify as well without making drastic changes to their cars. Please check www.neracewaypark.com and www.junctionmotorspeedway.com to get a look at the rules for each division.

NASCAR licenses will be required by all drivers of these four divisions racing at each track. Crew members do not have to get the license but it would be beneficial to do so because of insurance coverage from NASCAR which includes coverage for licensed members injured in any NASCAR Sanctioned Races. The policy provides for the payment of covered medical expenses incurred by an injured member participant during a maximum three-year period after injury, of up to a $1,000,000 per person, after exhaustion of all other insurance and subject to a specified maximum limit of coverage for all persons injured on a single incident. This information is also on www.nascarmembers.com. Other benefits will also be listed on this website of being an Official NASCAR member.

Pit entries will be five dollars cheaper at each pit gate if a NASCAR license is used. Prices of this will be optioned as $25 without a license or $20 with a license. Other non-sanctioned events at each track may include cheaper rates if a person is a license holder. For example- you make it to 18 races and $5.00 is saved each race. This totals $90 basically refunded back to you-- which is the cost of the original license. If
a person races at two NASCAR sanctioned tracks, they for 18 weekends, they are saving $180!

For Division 1 License Holders, (NASCAR Late Models), Licenses are $185.00 for the drivers of only that division. All other divisions 2 through 5 are only 90 dollars for drivers. All crew members who wish to have a NASCAR license will only be required to pay 90 dollars as well for a NASCAR License.
